Food For Thought for Easter Dinner

Posted by Patrice DeHaven on

Where has this year gone?  I can't believe Easter is Sunday.  So what are your plans?

Someone is hosting and planning a wonderful dinner with all the fixings. And you know chocolate will be around in every way shape and form...YUM!

Your check list if you are invited to Easter dinner:

~Are you making something to share?  A family favorite dish or a new recipe?  Shop for the ingredients.  There are plenty of new fun ideas on Pinterest.

~Do you have your gift for the hostess?  It could be something as simple as a nice decorative t-towel, some wonderful chocolates or perhaps a crate of cookies.

Your check list if you are hosting Easter dinner:

~You've decided on your menu, created your shopping list, and delegated sides or desserts if people are asking 'what can I bring?'

~Be mindful of your guests, do they have allergies or health issues?  If they are diabetic, be sure to have some sugar free chocolates etc.

~Ideas for a festive table setting

~ AHHHH, the infamous Easter egg hunt.  In my opinion they are for young and old alike.  Be sure to have plenty of those plastic eggs filled with special candy, $, even McDonalds coupons.  And if you have no little ones, fill the larger plastic eggs with miniatures and let the hunt begin.  It's so much fun!

OR you can have these as favors for your adult guests.

OR you can purchase assorted 6 packs and hide them. Be sure to choose a fun assortment, coke in the tin bottles, wine cookers, craft beer, and even Ensure for grandpa :)

'Presently' hopping over to purchase my miniatures,
